Prior to Cresco Labs, Bachtell served for 8 years as the Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Guaranteed Rate, the nation’s seventh largest mortgage bank – a leading attorney during the reform of the US mortgage industry. Bachtell is an adjunct Professor at Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law teaching a course on the legal and regulatory issues in the emerging cannabis industry.
Tom currently serves on the boards of CommScope Holding Company, Inc., a leading telecommunication technology company, and Clear Media Limited, a leading outdoor advertising company in China. He previously served as a director of four other public companies in China – iSoftStone Holdings Limited, Asiainfo-Linkage, Gome Electrical Appliances Company, and the Bank of Communications – and seven private equity backed companies in China, India, and the United States.
He speaks Mandarin and holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a bachelor’s degree from Harvard College.
