Narbé Alexandrian

President and Chief Executive Officer

Prior to joining Canopy Rivers, Narbé was a Venture Capitalist at OMERS Ventures, one of the most prominent technology venture capital funds in Canada. During his tenure, Narbe helped fundraise for two funds ($520M of capital), sourced and led multiple debt/equity financings, and acted as a Board Observer for a number of portfolio companies. Prior to OMERS Ventures, Narbé was a Senior Strategy Manager in TELUS’ Internet of Things (IoT) group where he helped launch operational go-to-market strategies to TELUS’ executive leadership team. Prior to TELUS, he held roles at Firmex Inc., a leading virtual data room company based in Toronto, and Deloitte LLP, where he held roles in Financial Advisory and Consulting (fka Monitor Deloitte). Narbé is currently a Sessional Instructor at the Schulich School of Business, teaching technology entrepreneurship and venture capital within the undergraduate and MBA programs. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the Schulich School of Business at York University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.
Eddie Lucarelli

Chief Financial Officer

Prior to joining Canopy Rivers, Eddie was a Vice President in the Mergers & Acquisitions group at TD Securities. His team provided sell-side and buy-side M&A advisory services to large and mid-cap Canadian companies. During his time at TD, Eddie worked on several transformative transactions in the telecommunications, media, and real estate industries.

Eddie began his career at Deloitte LLP where he became a Senior Manager in the firm's Financial Advisory practice. He advised domestic and international clients across a variety of industries on business valuation matters for transaction, tax, audit, accounting, litigation and other purposes. During his time at Deloitte, Eddie also helped execute the firm's global financial advisory strategy and completed a placement in London, England. Eddie holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the Smith School of Business at Queen's University. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant and a Chartered Business Valuator.
Olivier Dufourmantelle

Chief Operating Officer

Olivier was previously the Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President, Continuous Improvement and Strategic Expansion for Canopy Growth. Prior to joining Canopy Growth, Olivier worked in various leadership and consulting roles in Asia, Europe, and North America at Michelin Tires and McKinsey & Company. Olivier received a degree in Electrical Engineering at McGill University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Karoline Hunter

Sr. Director, Investor Relations and Communications

Karoline is responsible for communicating the company’s strategy, growth opportunities, and business initiatives to key audiences including shareholders and the investor community. She also leads the company’s internal and external strategic communication planning, including media relations.

Prior to joining Canopy Rivers, Karoline spent ten years at Spin Master as Associate General Counsel and where she most recently headed up all investor relations activities. Karoline was also a corporate securities lawyer at Fasken Martineau representing public companies, smaller entrepreneurial operators, as well as investment funds.

Karoline earned a Honors Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto as well as a law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School. Karoline is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and is currently pursuing her CPIR designation.
Mary Dimou

Director, Business Development

Mary Dimou has been engaged within the innovation ecosystem for a decade working closely with investors, industry, and academia. Her areas of focus cover a broad range of disciplines within the life sciences and agriculture fields including human health, animal health, biotechnology, and plant sciences.

Prior to joining Canopy Rivers, Mary worked in senior level roles at various private and public capital companies. Most recently, she helped manage the Ontario Centres of Excellence’s Seed investment fund that deployed over thirty investments annually. She has held portfolio management and foreign direct investment roles at OMAFRA, has acquired ag-tech venture experience through Bioenterprise, and gained Director-level experience at an industrial seed-stage company. As an entrepreneur, Mary exited a machine-learning technology in the agri-technologies sector, AgRegKit. The patent-pending technology was awarded a Premier’s-Award For Agri-Food Innovation Excellence in 2017.

Mary graduated from University of Guelph, with a Masters of Science focused on nutritional genomics and biochemistry. She holds her Project Management Professional (PMP) designation, and is currently pursuing her doctorate part-time at the University of Toronto.
